エルザ。原作コミックにはない気がする。コミック読んだ後に見るといい回なんだけど、この順番で見ると平凡かもなぁ。
訳に関して。今回は大分意訳が多くて、見て比較するのが結構しんどかった。
「まぁ、性分なのかもね」→ "I guess I like the challenge." などなど。以下にも色々そういうのが散見される。
ただ、日本語と英語で会話の内容がかなり変わっているのだが、雰囲気は同じ感じがする(日本人から見れば)。直訳が難しいのをうまく回避してるのか、戸田なのか。
- You really should start thinking about who you'd rather be working with the goverment or the terrorists. (「どっちにつくのが利口かどうか」)
- If you keep getting in our way, I won't hesitate to eliminate you. (日本語音声では「あんまりごねるようだと」だが、まぁ「邪魔するのなら」が普通の意味)
- Kids are just like adults, get them together in a big room and not every body gets along. (「人が十人いて、十人が仲良く出来ないのは、大人も子供も同じ」)
- And you know, speaking of people I don't like... (「そうそう、エルザの話が出たから言うけど」 "people I don't like" は婉曲表現)
- I wouldn't give myself all the credit. (「そこまで思い上がってはいないよ」直前のヘンリエッタのセリフは「じゃぁ、トリエラのおかげで？」なにが「おかげで」なのかは、まぁ本編見て)
- You realize Claes is pretty unsociable too. (「クラエスだって相当無愛想だけど」)
- The only way you can improve is with dedication and constant practice.
- I need your help if you can swing it. (「良かったら手を貸して欲しいんだ」 swing は「〜をうまくやる」らしい)
- So, the local police chief is on the take and harboring terrorists.
- I kinda wonder if she'll be in top form in front of people she's not used to work with.
- Would you just leave?
これにてDVD2巻終わり。英語版DVDには吹き替え声優による各キャラへのコメントが入ってるんだけど、それには英語字幕も日本語吹き替えもないので買って見てくだされ。アキバに売ってるから。
